Snippets from my Week .................................

Greetings dear friends & readers & Welcome to May !!

When I turned the calendar over to May 1st I took down all my Easter decor & packed it away.

I came across this box of dried pumpkin stalks in my cupboard so I thought I would make some fabric pumpkins like our craft group made in this post * here *
These are REAL pumpkin stalks dried from my last years crop

You don't need a pattern - I just drew around different sized dinner plates to get my circle, & then gathered it up
& stuffed it really tightly.
Click on the Pic to enlarge them if you would like a closer look
Embellishing them is the fun part - the first two I used some net curtain off cuts but lined my circle with calico first
so the stuffing wouldn't show through - these were decorated with feathers & silk ribbons & pearls - just anything to make them pretty

The third one I drew around a large circular tray & this one was made from linen.
I embellished this with an old broken brooch & feathers & I cut some "leaves" from an oddment of suede that I used to use for teddy bear paw pads
I also stamped a tag for this one saying  "autumn"

I tried to do did a small autumnal display using some bird nests & pine cones, along with some artificial leaves & bird

Just a small tablescape which I would love to add to at some stage .....................    a Fall stitchery ??  & perhaps make an autumnal table runner .......................

Immediately after packing away my Easter decor I regretted it .... as this beautiful little mini quilt arrived in the post -
a surprise gift from my very talented & clever friend Claire
She had been making several of them & thought perhaps I might like one ??
Yes Please - thank You Very Much Indeedy Claire !! I adore it !! 💕

Speaking of clever & talented friends . . . . I have had this gorgeous piece of vintage fabric squirrelled away for the longest time & finally sent it to Leeanne a couple of months ago asking her to please make me a whole cloth quilt from it

I decided to take advantage of her very good offer above . . . . so I chose a swirly quilting design called
"dancing leaves" & chose my backing fabric & batting from Leeanne

                                                                                  The Back View
Oh I am so delighted with my quilt 💗- it brings me so much pleasure to look at it & the beautiful fabric has been bought to life with Leeanne sprinkling her magic over it.

Last Saturday I arranged to meet up with my daughter in law at a half way point between their home & mine
We had not seen each other for 6 weeks, but I had a sack of organic chook pellets for her hens & she had veggie plants for me
I baked a batch of white chocolate & banana muffins to take to her as I had bananas turning brown

Just prior to our Lockdown Level 4 I had tried to buy veggie plants but there were none to be had in my town
My daughter in law had managed to get some in the city so she had bought some extra for me & then planted them on into a large tray from her worm farm - they were doing splendidly

I got spinach, silverbeet & lots of cabbage plants from her that I quickly put in the garden just before a couple of days rain came.

Then mid week my friend Julie told me about a small garden shop in town that was selling veggie plants on a
click & collect basis
So I was able to buy brocolli & cauliflower & beetroot seedlings - it felt just like Christmas 💚

A few days ago I found this little wooden corner shelf in my sleepout so I screwed it into a corner of my kitchen &
did a quick shelf display

While I was in my kitchen I made up another batch of Miracle Cleaner as I have been going through so much lately, with all the cleaning I seem to have been doing.
You can find the recipe for this on Annabelle's blog post * here *
It is wonderful & I use it all over the house for all sorts of things.

Thanks so much for popping by today dear friends,
I shall leave you with this pic of Yin & Yang taken this morning in front of the heater
I hope you all have a most wonderful weekend - be kind to yourselves & to each other,
With much love & friendship To You All,
Julie & the furry ones x0x0x0

  4. Your pumpkins are so beautiful Julie, you have added wonderful bits and pieces to them. Love your display and your new shelf in the kitchen, very clever! Beautiful quilty gift from your friend. So good to get vege seedlings, not so easy to get around here. Very nice to catch up with your daughter in law, I bet they loved the muffins. Miss Pippi and Blackie know the best place to be don't they!! I notice the male has the prime position!!

  5. How lovely to have a hand made quilt, and someone who will do all that beautiful quilting work for you. I am amazed at how many things you make, you are always busy on some project and your home is full of pretty, homely things. So pleased for you that so many veggies have made it to your house and that you could support a local business in the process. It must have been hard to meet your loved ones but have to stay distanced but I bet it felt wonderful seeing them. Stay safe.

  7. The rabbit mini quilt is delightful. We are struggling to get vegetables too, my husband has planted some seeds but we are still looking for tomato plants. x

  8. Everything divine as always, especially your new quilt. What a treasure. I might try banana and choc muffins today before the bananas crawl into the bin by themselves! I love your new header pic too. I treated my two daughters-in-law to a garden centre delivery each the other day but only needed a packet of sweet pea seeds for myself so didn't bother with those since the delivery charge would have made them the most expensive sweet peas in the area!Have a great weekend, Julie. xxx

  10. lol! The kitties are so cute! :-)
LOVE those pumpkins! You added all of the "just right" finishing touches to them!
Our garden centers are lacking in veggie plants as well...I've resorted to starting plants from seeds...kinda late for seed starting here, but better late than never.... ;-)

  11. Julie, you always have the most fun bits of decorative items to work with! The pumpkins look fun.
We still need our heaters on, as we are to have a bit of snow and a killing freeze tomorrow. So to see Pippi and
Blackie in front of the heater is cute. I have a potato planted in a bag on the patio. It is the only veggie
the herd of deer won't eat. I tried cherry tomato last year, and they nibbled off the cherries!
Glad you could have a meet with your DIL.

    1. Thanks for your lovely comment Lynn. I do tend to keep lots (& lots) of bits & pieces for my crafting - I call them my treasures - My hubby calls them junk!! Its great to have things on hand & not have to go out & buy stuff. I must tell my hubby you have wild deer coming to eat your veggies. That is amazing to us.

  18. Why, autumn never looked so lovely as those beautiful pumpkins you imagined. Love all the pretty bits and bobs you collected together to make them magical. Oh my, the quilt is gorgeous, both the fabric and the sweet quilting pattern. I don't see why you cannot have the gorgeous bunny mini out all the time. It is much too beautiful to have hidden away.

  22. Nicola Delic Nicola Delic's ND10X

Many don 't like to part with their hard-earned money for the sake of earning more capital. ND10X is a powerful new trading system that provides timely, accurate trading signals that are helpful to both new, and experienced traders and investors, it is also gerat for those who aer short on time as it is 99% automated and can be as easy as a click of a button to place a trade while maintaing that accuracy and profitability Nicola's systems are known for, so not having time to trade becomes a problem of the past. Also, every week, you get to see the webinars and live trading sessions with Nicola Delic, creator of this product.

As a global broker, we're firm believers that developing a sound understanding of the markets is imperative to a trader's potential to succeed. Forex Duality is a new product that has been launched in the market, especially for forex traders. I never use Stop Loss and when capital is locked up in Drawdown I wait for the reversal to happen or liquidate trades when initial account equity crashes to 50%. How to use what I call scientific trading” to greatly reduce your risk while massively multiplying your profit on every trade.

This means that when the trading day in the U.S. ends, the forex market begins anew in Tokyo and Hong Kong. Forex trading can be fun if you can master the skill of risk management. This high-risk, low-risk trading method has been the envy of thousands of transactions, and it will be the first time Nicola Delic makes it available. Retail traders represent only a small proportion (very small one!) of the whole Forex market. Forex Duality is the cloud trading system that helps you to trade in your Forex career. This is because a normal random value will deviate from the average value by not more than three sigma (3 x σ) with a certainty of 99.7%. Whether the Z value is positive or negative will inform the trader about the type of dependence: A positive Z value indicates that the profitable trade will be followed by a loser.

Every forex trader is different…what you like is not what I like. Foreign exchange Duality is the best system for the people that agree to start trading in the foreign exchange area. For this reason, such trading platforms are treated with caution, as there are concerns (and confirmed precedents) of possible exchange rate manipulation from the site to the damage of traders. Money management plays a big role in how much you should risk in a single trade. Counterparty risks, platform malfunctions, and sudden bursts of volatility also pose challenges to would-be forex traders.

Over these years, he has developed a passion for educating other Forex traders. Any trade can look like a winner, especially to a less experienced trader, but the trend can quickly stall and suck you into quicksand for hours, days, or even longer. During these competitions and years of working with new traders, there are common reasons people worry or are afraid to start trading. Traders are provided with leverage by brokers, dealers, and banks to enter large positions with their little capital. Today I want to give you the edge that could have you making more money in just minutes per day than most people make slaving away at a grueling job 50 or even 60 hours per week.

The indications, positive or negative, coming from such reports are the main drivers of major changes in exchange rates between currency pairs. Another cost in case of forex trade is slippage, this need to be paid when the traders are entering in the market at price lower than they wanted. For long-term trading success, a trader needs to be able to make informed trading decisions, and these decisions are a result of analysing the market. La loro è 7 Effective Ways To Get More Out Of Nicola Delic's Nd10x stata una storia molto lunga, che durava da prima che la cantante arrivasse a Sanremo per la prima volta. https://www.reviewengin.com/infinite-profit-system-review/
